What are cookies and what are they used for?

Cookies are text files storing some information for a limited period of time. When you visit the respective website for the first time, your browser downloads these files automatically and stores them on your device (telephone, tablet, computer). A cookie file contains at least two components – file name and value. It usually also contains the date of its automatic deletion (set according to the planned life of the given file). There is a difference between cookie files stored on your computer for the duration of your visit to a website (session cookies) and lasting cookie files (persistent cookies). The session cookies are deleted automatically when you leave the site. Persistent cookies are saved to your computer for the duration of the given cookie files and are deleted at the end of the given period of time.

Cookie files facilitate website visits to the users; they make the visits user-friendly. Cookie files remember your preferred setup. It you visit the given website repeatedly, they allow the website to “recall" products last added to the cart, or ensure automatic display of the website in your preferred setting or with preferred font size.

  Such cookies are necessary for our website to be displayed and to function in a right way (e.g., to display our content in a setup preferred by you (for example, in a certain language), or to facilitate your browsing in another way).

  Such cookies allow us to analyse our website from the point of view of the visitors' behaviour and to adapt and change the website accordingly.

  By means of such cookies, we or third parties can customize the offer of our services after your visit. You can then see such offer even outside our website.
